"The Midnight Me" is a poetry collection by Vladimir Rem in which the author explores the inner world of the individual, the feeling of loneliness, and the relationship of man to himself, others, and the time in which he lives.
The poems in the collection are characterized by a meditative and intimate tone. The lyrical subject observes his own life, memories and transience, often in the atmosphere of the night that enhances the feeling of reflection and restlessness. Along with personal thoughts, universal themes such as love, loss and the search for meaning also appear. Remo's poetic expression is concise, picturesque and often metaphorical. The nocturnal ambience and the symbolism of the "midnight self" create the impression of a man who is facing his inner self without external masks.
