Nevada

Zane Grey

Ben Ide, living a restless ranch life, moves with his family to Arizona, ostensibly for his mother's health, but also to search for his missing partner, Nevada.

He buys a beautiful ranch in an area known for cattle rustling. The business soon collapses as he struggles to protect his cattle and prized horses from a network of cattle rustlers across the Arizona wilderness, unsure of who he can trust and who he cannot. Hettie Ide longs for the missing Nevada, all the while fending off a horde of suitors. Nevada, having escaped the Forlorn River with only his life, continues his life as an outlaw, searching for a way out of his situation, but finds himself drawn deeper into the labyrinthine social web of Arizona, where everyone is a cattle rustler and no one will say who leads the gangs.
