Heart Of Stone

Heart Of Stone

Cher

The nineteenth studio album by pop-rock icon Cher from 1989. The CD brings her most successful rock period with cult hits like "If I Could Turn Back Time" and "Just Like Jesse James".

Released in June 1989 under the auspices of Geffen Records, the album Heart Of Stone represents the nineteenth studio project of the inimitable Cher and one of the most successful, best-selling albums of her rich career. With this release, she established her spectacular musical comeback in the late eighties, adopting a tighter, more energetic melodic pop-rock and arena-rock sound that perfectly suited her powerful, deep and recognizable vocals.

The album is full of anthological singles that marked the radio airwaves and the MTV generation. The central trump card of the release is undoubtedly the planetary megahit "If I Could Turn Back Time", and it also stands out with extremely successful songs such as "Just Like Jesse James", the emotional ballad "After All" (a duet with Peter Ceter) and the title track "Heart Of Stone". The luxurious and impeccable production is signed by the elite of the music industry of the time, including Michael Bolton, Desmond Child, Jon Bon Jovi and Diane Warren.

Triple platinum and critically acclaimed, Heart Of Stone remains one of the defining pop-rock releases of the late 80s and a must-have CD for all collectors and true fans of Cher's musical career.
