Djela #7: U Americi / Moji intervjui / Vojnici / Neprijatelji
Maxim Gorky resided in the United States in 1906. During this period, he wrote several works, mostly in response to the failure of the Russian Revolution of 1905.
His collection of short stories "In America" (V Amerike) provides an insight into Gorky's impressions and experiences during his stay in the United States. Through these stories, the author analyzes American society with a critical look at capitalism and social injustices. Gorky was known for his involvement in the fight for the rights of the oppressed, which is also reflected in these stories.
The short story "Soldaty" (Soldiers) thematizes the lives of Russian soldiers, highlighting their suffering and the challenges they face. Through a realistic depiction, Gorky depicts the harshness of military life and the social circumstances that shape the destinies of these people.
Both works reflect Gorky's commitment to social issues and his ability to speak through literature about the injustices and challenges faced by ordinary people.
