The novel connects the 1940s and 1990s in time, takes place in Osijek's Lower Town, and the core of the novel is the story of the death of two innocent girls who were thrown alive into a mass grave.
The novel is written as an autobiography since for Nezirović, writing is a healing job: it heals, heals wounds and eases the soul, but it is also a way to openly tell society everything that follows him.
"Malleus maleficarum" is the darkest and most tense part of the "Witch of Grič" cycle. After Nera's death in "Contessa Nera", Zagreb in 1731 sinks into the hysteria of a witch hunt.
