Tantra - duhovnost ljubavi

Tantra - duhovnost ljubavi

Simon E. Phillips

Tantra is a cult of ecstasy, a personal religion, based on the mystical experience of joy, not on established dogmas.

For tantrists, sex is everything, it is worship, what gives energy and life. Tantric art, literature and religious rituals celebrate sex. Tantrists are not ascetics, they affirm life. They learn to reveal the divine through the elevation of the human. They use all their senses, mind and spirit to reach mystical heights. They are sexual because they believe that in sexual union man comes closest to the bliss of union with the divine. According to orthodox tantra, a successful rite is achieved by uniting the individual being with the cosmic being. As they poetically say, the drop merges with the ocean. Tantric practice varies from individual to individual, country to country, period to period, but each student uses meditation and rituals that engage all the senses to develop a habit of spiritual bliss. Tantra must be lived to be fully understood. It promises the expansion of life: the transformation of normal human consciousness and energy into transcendental wisdom and vitality.
