Zvijezde koje ne zalaze - Dvadeset velikana Crkve
The author compares the greats of the church's past with stars.
The message he wants to convey with this collection of examples of saints and church fathers is useful and current. Let's meet: Ignatius, Tertullian, Cyprian, Origen, Jerome, Basil, Gregory, Ambrose, Augustine and many others. The message of Ćuk's "stars" is always relevant. They do not fade or go out. Among them, a special place belongs to what Fr. Ivon calls "the great Dalmatian", St. Jeronimo from Stridon (for whom, admittedly, we do not know if he was in Dalmatia, but he was certainly somewhere in our area). Along with the great men of the first five centuries of Christian history (Ignatius of Antioch, Justin of Rome, Irenaeus of Lyons, Tertullian, Cyprian, Clement of Alexandria, Origen, Hilary, Basil, Gregory of Nazianzus, Gregory of Nyssa, Ephrem, Cyril of Jerusalem, John Chrysostom, Ambrose, Augustine, Leo the Great, Cyril of Alexandria) we should highlight the great Athanasius, who spent twenty years in exile and asserted himself as a defender of orthodoxy and a brave fighter against Arius' heresy.
