Giorgio Vasari

Kratka i sažeta biografija jednog od najvećih talijanskih slikara i kipara Giotta di Bondonea.

Vasari, poznat po svojim biografijama italijanskih umjetnika, hvalio je Giotta za oživljavanje umjetnosti slikanja i portretiranja iz prirode, koja je bila zanemarena više od dvije stotine godina. U svojoj knjizi "Životi najizvrsnijih slikara, kipara i arhitekata", prvi put objavljenoj 1550. godine, Vasari priča o tome kako je Giotta, dječaka pastira, otkrio umjetnik Cimabue i kako je kasnije postao slavni slikar.
