Vlatko Šarić

True and fictional legends about buried treasure have lived since ancient times in naive folk tales and in documents and books of all civilizations.

Namely, there are fantastic stories about buried treasure which, very difficult, are not without a historical basis. That's why people search for that buried treasure and sometimes they discover it. Huge sums were invested in the search for buried treasure. In this book, publicist and translator Vlatko Šarić deals with the topic of buried treasure, and shows stories and histories about the search for golden fleeces, golden vaults, legendary gold coins and jewelry - a phenomenon that torments people and often affects them like a mythical fantasy. Without limiting himself to our national soil, Šarić shows, in about twenty easily written studies, how people from the time of the Incas and Tutankhamun to Cromwell and Rommel, to our days, searched for and sometimes found buried treasures and hidden values. Using the world literature on this subject, Šarić managed to present to the reader, a very plastic search for hidden treasures and the rush of golden buried riches.
