Mudrost življenja
"The wisdom of living" is a series of observations, thoughts and aphorisms that penetrate into the secrets of human life. It is one of those books that speak about the secrets of human nature with its topicality and timeless language.
Baltasar Grácian was a Jesuit, professor of Latin, philosophy, theology and morals, rector of the Jesuit high school in Tarragona. His 300 lines, reflections on life that were valid then, are valid even today and the reader can always return to them. In fact, the text is a selection of passages from twelve of Gracián's philosophical works, made in 1653 by his friend Don Vincencio Juan de Lastanosa, and translated into German by Arthur Schopenhauer.
