The plots of this thriller are based on the real danger that threatened the Allied plan "Overlord" to land in France and the accompanying plan "Bodyguard", which had to mislead the Germans regarding the place and time of D-Day.
The tension is heightened by the already classic "manhunt", an unidentified German spy, who does not hesitate even in the face of the most cruel solutions in carrying out his task. When the intelligence hunters establish that the German saw through their cunning game of masking and deception with fake airfields and cardboard armored regiments, the hunt for this dangerous agent takes on a wide scale. Professional counter-intelligence officers, but also mobilized reservists of various professions, who could hardly be assumed to be participating in this dramatic hunt for a German spy, take part in that chase.
