Međugorje u slikama

Međugorje u slikama

Hans Terler

The phenomenon of Medjugorje refers to a series of alleged apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary that began on June 24, 1981 in the small village of Medjugorje in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

According to reports, six young people claimed to have seen and spoken to the Virgin Mary, who introduced herself to them as the "Queen of Peace." These apparitions continued to occur regularly, and some of the seers claim to still experience them.

The phenomenon has attracted millions of pilgrims from all over the world, who come to Medjugorje seeking spiritual renewal, prayer and peace. Many pilgrims report profound spiritual experiences, healings and conversions.

Although the Catholic Church has not officially recognized the apparitions as authentic, Medjugorje has become one of the most visited pilgrimage sites in the world. In 2019, the Vatican allowed official pilgrimages to Medjugorje, which was a significant step towards recognizing the importance of this place for many believers.
