This book is intended to serve as a general introduction to economic sociology, a relatively new field in the social sciences that is rapidly growing in importance, both in the United States and in Europe. Likewise, the aim of the book is to present economic sociology from a completely new perspective and present its main concepts, ideas and findings. This is extremely important due to the speed with which economic sociology has developed over the past ten years, which could make it one of the key competing methods in the analysis of economic phenomena.
