Focused on algebraic basics, the book builds the foundations for further mathematical disciplines, with an emphasis on rigor, examples and exercises. Main topics (by chapter):

• Chapter 1: Logic, sets and numbers: Basic concepts of mathematical logic (propositions, quantifiers), set theory (unions, intersections, functions), various types of numbers (natural, integer, real, complex) with proofs and constructions.
