Proceedings of the First Croatian Mariological Congress, Split, September 9 and 10, 1976.
The collection contains the complete texts of lectures from the aforementioned Congress. At it, our theologians examined the figure of the Virgin Mary throughout the history of the Church among Croatians, thus significantly contributing to the development of Croatian Mariology. Tomislav Šagi-Bunić examined the Mariological thought of the Croatian theologian Stjepan Bakšić, Dinko Aračić the role of Karl Balić at the Second Vatican Council, Mato Zovkić presented the Mariological teachings of the Sarajevo Archbishop Stadler in his epistles, Ratko Perić the maternity of Mary and the motherhood of the Church, drawing parallels between Mary and the Church. Other theologians examined the veneration of the Virgin Mary in Croatian territory throughout history.
