Demografski kontekst i sociokulturne posljedice hrvatskoga domovinskog rata

Demografski kontekst i sociokulturne posljedice hrvatskoga domovinskog rata

The authors pointed out the demographic situation in Croatia in the late 1980s and early 1990s, the demographic trends in the war-affected areas of Croatia, the demographic war losses and the long-term demographic consequences of the war.

The book addresses the issues of forcibly abducted, detained and missing persons, mass and individual graves, exhumations and identification of war victims, the issue of crimes and criminals, as well as some socio-cultural consequences of the war, especially in the domain of shaping Croatian national identity, the responsibility of the international community for committed crimes, and the possibilities of post-war building coexistence and reconstruction of social and national ties. The works shed a lot of new light on a recent, but still under-researched period of Croatian history. Of course, the authors are solely responsible for the claims and positions contained within the covers of this book. The editors have made only minor and necessary interventions, attempting to formally harmonize the contributions, leaving the authors full freedom of manner and style of expression.
