Zlatni danci

Zlatni danci

Jagoda Truhelka

The stories in the book depict the author's childhood up until 1878, in her hometown of Osijek. The heroes are therefore from real life, and the center of the plot are Anica – Sanjalica (the author) and her younger brothers Ćiro and Dragoš. Describing a childhood spent in a bourgeois family from the late 19th century, the author depicts the atmosphere, spirit, customs, morality, human relationships and the difficulties of growing up, but also the warmth of childhood.
