Vinipeški vuk i druge pripovijetke

Vinipeški vuk i druge pripovijetke

Ernest Thompson Seton

The work is a typical example of Seton's fusion of documentary style and narrative dramatization, where animals are given individuality and man is portrayed as both a threat and an observer.

A naturalist, an excellent illustrator and writer, Seton followed animals in the wild or in free national parks, drew them, photographed them, and recorded every detail of their behavior. Only on the basis of documented data would he skillfully shape an interesting story. He wanted children to accept nature in all its truthfulness, without the usual sugary additives.
