Anthology of Međimurje Folk Songs (2024), by Stjepan Hranjec and Branimir Magdalenić, is a major work published as part of the Bibliotheca Murodravana edition of the Matica Hrvatska Branch in Čakovec, co-published by the Međimurje County, the City of Čakovec and the Association of Croatian Cultural and Artistic Associations. The 600-page book covers around 300 of the most famous Međimurje folk songs, including children's songs, based on the festival in Nedelišće and the writings of Vinko Žganac. Hranjec emphasizes folk songs as the identity of Međimurje, while Magdalenić harmonically analyzed the tunes, adjusting the keys for the performers. Each song has a text, musical notation, analysis and instructions for authentic performance, making the book a manual for folklore groups and lovers of Kajkavian culture. The work, awarded the Matica "Ivan Kukuljević Sakcinski" award, preserves intangible heritage, included on the UNESCO list, reflecting the joys, sorrows and love of the people of Međimurje. Promotions in Čakovec, Nedelišće and Zagreb, with performances by artists such as Cecilija Merkač Hudopisk, highlighted its significance.
