Muškat, limun i kurkuma

Muškat, limun i kurkuma

Miljenko Jergović

A collection of about forty texts, most of which were published in the author's column "Saturday Matinee" in "Jutarnji list".

Muscat, Lemon and Turmeric is a collection of essays that were mostly, with two exceptions, published in Subotnja matineja, an author's column in the Jutarnji list magazine, and the author also wrote the text "Sibila and Tonko, in the End" especially for this book. In these texts, Jergović deals with people, artists, who always somehow pass us by, neglected, half-invisible for various reasons, so he snatches them from oblivion and restores their artistic dignity. This collection of columns functions as a promenade of the most interesting characters from our recent cultural history, but it is also, like many of Jergović's other prose, a personal history full of intimate observations.
