Reč je o svetu naših slovenskih pustoši, mikroprostoru u kome se odvijaju svih 60 priča. U ove priče utkani su brojni likovi sa svojim sudbinama.

  • Sama činjenica da naratorka dolazi iz autobiografske pozicije, četvorogodišnja devojčica koja je izgubila majku i dolazi da živi u pustoši sa ocem i maćehom, emotivna je od samog početka. Sve što sledi čitate sa izvesnom nevericom. Shvatate da je život mešavina pozitivnih i negativnih emocija. Autorka koristi ove priče da prenese poruku da su lepe mnogo jače i važnije od ružnih, koje su takođe deo priče, jer bez antagonista, nema ni protagoniste.
