Jež i zlatni potok
This is Ante Gardaš's first book written for children. The book contains 38 stories and 2 plays.
The story follows a hedgehog who sets out on a journey along a mysterious “golden stream,” driven by curiosity and a desire to discover the world. Along the way, he meets various animals and characters, some of whom help and some who hinder his journey. Through encounters and adventures, he learns about friendship, courage, and resourcefulness. The golden stream symbolizes a goal, but also the search for meaning and values. In the end, the hedgehog realizes that experiences, friends, and what he has learned are more important than the goal itself.
