Poslednji komandant 68. bataljona, vukovarski branilac, Drago Maksimović, takođe je autor knjige „Brevijar beznađa“, koja govori o problemima branilaca nakon Domovinskog rata.

Ovo je Maksimovićeva druga knjiga. Prva je bila zbirka ratnih priča. Četrnaest priča, naizgled nepovezanih, nose snažan pečat autorove ličnosti. U nekoliko njih, oni povlašćeni, kroz veo maglovitih dunavskih zora, mogu nazreti elemente autobiografskog izraza.
