Put u Liliput i Brobdingnag

Put u Liliput i Brobdingnag

Jonathan Swift

The story of the sailor Gulliver and his adventures served Jonathan Swift as a framework in which he expressed his critical view of the society of the time.

The subject of his devastating mockery is not individuals, environments or classes, but human nature as such. Gulliver visited four places in his travels: Lilliput, an island of miniature creatures; Brobdingnag, where everyone is huge; the flying island of Laputa, inhabited by philosophers; and the land of the Houyhnhnms, full of obsessive scientists.
