Jules Verne

Professor Aronnax, his servant Conseil and harpooner Ned Land arrive on the submarine Nautilus. They travel the oceans and discover the wondrous underwater world and the secrets of Captain Nemo.

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea is one of the most famous adventure-science fiction novels by Jules Verne. The story begins when a mysterious object appears on the seas of the world, which many believe to be a sea monster. French naturalist Professor Aronnax joins an expedition to discover the truth.

During the search, Aronnax, his faithful servant Conseil and harpooner Ned Land end up on an unusual vessel – the submarine Nautilus. Its commander, the mysterious Captain Nemo, takes them on an incredible journey through the oceans and seas of the world.

The passengers explore coral reefs, underwater forests, the remains of sunken ships and many unknown sea spaces. During the journey, they encounter dangerous sea animals, storms and other challenges that test their courage and resourcefulness. At the same time, they try to discover the secrets of Captain Nemo, a man who abandoned life on land and created his own world under the sea.

The novel combines scientific knowledge, imaginative inventions and exciting adventure. Verne described technology that was unimaginable in his time, but later became reality. Due to its rich descriptions of the underwater world, tense plot and unforgettable characters, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea is considered a classic of world literature and one of the most important works of science fiction.
