After writing a column in Svjetlo riječi for several years in which he presented well-known and lesser-known saints and blesseds of the Catholic Church, they decided together to collect these texts in one place in this book.
While introducing readers to the basic facts of life as well as the Christian virtues that adorned these God-pleasing people, the author first brings us basic facts from the lives of these people that help us to place them in a specific time and in specific social circumstances. At the same time, completely unobtrusively, and in concise sentences, he conveys their key messages and inspiring thoughts, bringing their charisma closer to us and allowing the examples of these men and women to win us over and inspire us – and nourish us – even today, and for us to accept and love them – almost unwillingly – as our closest role models and advocates who can and want to help us on our daily way of the cross, which is also our only path to holiness.
