Like A Prayer (1989) is Madonna's fourth studio album, hailed as her most personal and mature work of the 1980s, led by the anthology title hit and a duet with Prince.
Released in March 1989 on Sire and Warner Bros., Like A Prayer marked a turning point in Madonna's career, transforming her from a global pop icon to an acclaimed and mature singer-songwriter. Imbued with themes of family, Catholic upbringing, marital challenges and personal introspection, the album brings a significantly deeper and more intimate textual approach.
