Stjepan Radić u Kraljevini Srba, Hrvata i Slovenaca

Stjepan Radić u Kraljevini Srba, Hrvata i Slovenaca

Ivan Mužić

A detailed biography of Stjepan Radić in the period from 1918 until his death in 1928. The author uses archival and other documentation to provide a new evaluation of the Croatian historical and political reality between the two world wars.

The book follows Radić's struggle for Croatian autonomy within the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, his opposition to the centralist policies of the Belgrade regime, and his advocacy for the federalization of the state. Special attention is paid to his efforts to achieve political goals through legal and parliamentary methods through the Croatian People's Peasants' Party (later the Croatian Republican Peasants' Party).

Mužić describes in detail key events, including Radić's opposition to the Vidovdan Constitution, his role in international politics, and the tragic end of his political career with an assassination in the Belgrade Assembly in 1928. The work also analyzes Radić's political philosophy and influence on the Croatian people.

The book was published on the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of Radić's death.
