Šokački stanovi
The book Šokački stanovi by Ante Knežević, published in 1990, explores in detail the traditional dwellings known as "Šokački stanovi" which were characteristic of the Slavonian region, especially during the 18th and 19th centuries.
Knežević analyzes the historical context of the emergence of these dwellings, connecting them with the social and economic changes of the time, including the establishment of the Military Border. The book provides a comprehensive insight into various aspects of the Šokac dwellings, including their location, architectural characteristics, functionality, and the lifestyle of their inhabitants.
