The main character of this novel is no longer Vuk Isaković, who goes to Russia, but the Russian Prince Rjepnin, whose Migrations begin in 1917, with his departure from Russia, to end in London after the Second World War, "that huge city whose embrace was deadly for so many people" because with them came that unusual, terrible winter, which lasted for months...
