Tarzan se vraća #2

Tarzan se vraća #2

Edgar Rice Burroughs

A sequel to the first Tarzan novel, the plot picks up with his arrival in civilization and his rejection of the title of Lord Greystoke out of love for Jane, who then thinks he belongs to someone else. Broken, Tarzan heads back to Africa...

On his return, Tarzan becomes embroiled in political intrigues in Algeria and a fight against the criminal Nikolas Rokoff and his ally Pavlov. After an attempt is made to frame him and kill him, Tarzan is thrown from the ship, but survives and reaches the shores of Africa. There he returns to his roots – wilderness, resourcefulness and the fight for survival.

In the depths of the jungle, he discovers the lost city of Opar, a remnant of ancient Atlantis, ruled by the priestess La. Although she develops feelings for Tarzan, he remains faithful to his love for Jane. Meanwhile, Jane and her fiancé Clayton arrive in Africa, where they also find themselves in danger.

The novel culminates in a series of dramatic events in which Tarzan saves Jane, exposes his enemies and finally reveals his true identity. In the end, love wins – Jane learns the truth and accepts Tarzan's love, and he gains his place in the civilized world.
