Daniel Defoe's first and most famous novel, with which he achieved great success, was Robinson Crusoe, published in 1719, when the writer was almost sixty years old. In that book, the author shows how people can overcome various difficulties with effort, patience and resourcefulness, and at the same time shows our need to communicate with people and the need to be part of society. In addition to being a journalist and novelist, Daniel Defoe wrote more than five hundred books. The most famous among them is Moll Flanders. He was born in London around 1660 and died in 1731 and traveled the world all his life.
