The book describes in detail the foundation of Mursa as a Roman colony in the 1st century, its strategic importance on the border with the Danube, and its role in trade and military administration. The period when Mursa became the scene of significant battles, such as the one between Emperor Constantius II, is particularly noteworthy. and the usurper Magnentius in 351. The author also analyzes the daily life of the inhabitants, from the urban structure of the city and public buildings to religious customs and artistic achievements.

This book is an indispensable work for the study of the ancient history of Pannonia, offering an in-depth insight into the past of the region and its importance within the Roman Empire.
