Anne, Neely and Jennifer become friends as young women trying to make their mark in New York City. They slowly rise to the top of the entertainment industry, but then they realize that there is nowhere else to go but down in the Valley of the Dolls. Neely O'Hara is trying to make it on Broadway. When she finally achieves her goal, she finds herself at the top of the ladder of success, all alone. Anne, a small-town girl, can't resist the lights of New York. She gets a job as a secretary for Henry Bellamy, a famous entertainment lawyer whose clientele includes the cream of show business (including Neely O'Hara). Although Anne resists it for a long time, she eventually finds herself in the world of supermodels. Anne is kind, always willing to help, and would do anything for her friends, but how will she get it back?
