Kineska poezija
Chinese Poetry brings a selection of classical Chinese poets whose lyrics are based on harmonious simplicity, nature, spirituality, and meditative insights into the transience of life and inner peace.
The publication Chinese Poetry, translated by Božo Kukolja, is an anthology of classical Chinese poets from various periods, from the early imperial period to the Tang and Song dynasties. The collection encompasses the fundamental motifs of Chinese lyric poetry: the beauty of nature, the solitude of scholars, the flow of time, the passage of seasons, longing, friendship, and quiet philosophical reflections on man's place in the world. Kukolja translates with an emphasis on the simplicity, rhythm, and inner harmony of the verses, striving to retain the clarity and conciseness of the original Chinese expression. The poetry in the collection reflects the blend of aesthetics, morality, and meditativeness characteristic of Taoist and Confucian thought. The book opens the reader to a tradition in which the art of words intertwines with the observation of nature and inner peace, making this anthology a valuable bridge between two literary cultures.
