Krijesnice
A collection of children's poetry published in 1973 (first edition, later 1975, 1977, 1980, 1982). Stanislav Femenić, a Croatian poet, storyteller and physician (1924–2012), dedicated most of his work to children and young people.
Femenić's poetry, including Krijesnice, is characterized by simplicity, cheerfulness, rhythm and humorous playfulness, inspired by the works of Grigor Vitez. The collection is part of Femenić's oeuvre that also includes other well-known titles such as Puž na ljetovanju, Trči, trči Trčimir and Idi pa vidi.
Krijesnice contains short, humorous poems intended for children, often with motifs from nature, animal and plant life, and children's everyday life.
