Pentalogija tragedija

Pentology of Tragedies by contemporary Croatian author Mislav Gleich consists of five interconnected dramatic texts in which motifs of Greek tragedy, existential anxiety and moral dilemmas of modern man are intertwined. The work exudes a dense, philosophical tone and at the same time combines classical form and contemporary themes.

In each of the five tragedies, Gleich depicts an individual who is confronted with the limits of his own freedom, responsibility and the meaning of existence. The characters, often placed in closed, claustrophobic situations, are torn between conscience and instinct, truth and self-loathing.
