The first volume, edited by Bogdan Krizman, covers the period from 1941 to 1943 and focuses on the governments of Dušan T. Simović and the first government of Slobodan Jovanović. The second volume, edited by Branko Petranović, covers the period from 1943 to 1945, including the second government of Slobodan Jovanović, and the governments of Miloš Trifunović, Božidar Purić, and Ivan Šubašić.
The work contains an extensive collection of archival documents, including minutes of government sessions, telegrams, reports, and diplomatic correspondence, which provide insight into political decisions, internal conflicts, and relations with the Allied powers.
