Mrtvi se vraćaju

Mrtvi se vraćaju

Mladen Bjažić, Zvonimir Furtinger

Although the title suggests horror or the supernatural, it is a crime story in which the mystery of the "revived dead" is ultimately explained by logic and human actions, not actual supernatural forces.

The plot revolves around unusual events in which dead people seem to “return,” causing fear, confusion, and a series of suspicious situations. The story centers on an investigation that gradually reveals that behind the supernatural appearance lie very real, human motives – deception, manipulation, and crime. The main characters, most often investigators or journalists (a frequent motif in Bjažić’s work), try to connect the dots and uncover the truth. Through a tense plot, they uncover a web of lies and hidden identities, where the “return of the dead” serves as a means of intimidation or concealment of criminal acts.
