If you look at the cross, you will see how Jesus' arms are outstretched, because he wants to embrace you. His head is bowed, because he wants to kiss you. His heart bleeds, because he wants to receive you into it. Therefore, when you feel alone and spiritually dry, look at the cross: pain, suffering, humiliation, disappointment, loneliness, are nothing but opportunities to show solidarity with those who, like you, feel alone, sad or abandoned.
