Zagor LU #116: Junaci Crvene grane

In Junaci Crvene grane, the struggle against Kandrax carries Zagor and Tonka from familiar Darkwood into a world of Celtic legend. Their opponents include Donn the Dark, lord of the otherworld, the ruthless warriors Nemain and Macha, and the demonic Fomhoir. Courage and fighting skill alone cannot overcome these enemies without new allies.

Standing beside them are Finn Mac Cumhail, his son Oisin and the Fianna, champions of Irish legend. Their meeting opens an adventure governed by sorcery and mythical beings, while events beyond the ordinary world remain connected to the threat facing Darkwood. Zagor must navigate unfamiliar powers and discover whom he can trust.

Mauro Boselli develops an epic fantasy of alliance and resistance to dark forces. Zagor and Tonka’s friendship remains central, as does their willingness to fight in a realm they do not fully understand. Celtic motifs broaden the series’ imaginative landscape and introduce a large cast of new companions and adversaries.

The issue also marks a narrative and artistic transition: Gallieno Ferri concludes the preceding chapter of Kandrax’s return, and Marco Torricelli begins the title adventure. It continues in Ludens #117, Otok sjena, with the wider saga concluding in #118, Vječni rat.
