Cyrus Leo Sulzberger II bio je američki novinar, kolumnist i publicist. Bio je član obitelji koja je posjedovala The New York Times i glavni strani dopisnik tih novina tijekom 1940-ih i 1950-ih. Ovo je izbor iz njegovih dnevničkih zabilješki.

Knjiga predstavlja izbor iz njegovih dnevničkih zapisa, pružajući uvid u ključne političke događaje i ličnosti 20. stoljeća. Sulzberger opisuje svoje susrete i razgovore s istaknutim svjetskim liderima poput Trumana, Eisenhowera, Kennedyja, Johnsona, Nixona, Achesona, Dullesa, Kissingera, Hemingwaya i drugih .
