The Odyssey is one of two Greek epics attributed to the poet Homer. It describes the adventures of the Greek hero Odysseus. Alexandrian philologists divided the "Odyssey" into 24 cantos according to the number of letters in the Greek alphabet. It consists of 12 110 hexameters.
