Petonogi zec

Petonogi zec

Rifat Kukaj

The book explores themes such as identity, diversity, isolation and human essence. Through the story of Džemal, the author reminds us of the importance of understanding and accepting others, regardless of their differences.

The action takes place in Sarajevo during the 1970s. The main character is Džemal, a man with five legs, who was born with an anomaly - a fifth leg growing out of his back. Džemal is isolated from society and faces the prejudice and fear of the people around him. His fate becomes a symbol of the fight against injustice and intolerance.
