"Sadioci luka" is a novel by Slovenian writer Anton Ingolič, published in 1974. The work thematizes agrarian reform and collectivization in rural areas, showing the challenges faced by peasants during this process.

The novel is set in a Slovenian village where the inhabitants, traditionally attached to the land and their customs, are trying to adapt their lives to new social and economic circumstances. The title "Onion Planters" symbolizes the effort and effort of the peasants to plant something new and useful, despite the uncertainty and challenges that change brings. The onion, as a plant that requires attention and patience, is a metaphor for the process of adaptation and growth that the characters in the novel go through.

Ingolič's writing style is characterized by a realistic depiction of village life, rich descriptions of nature, and a deep understanding of the psychology of his characters. Through their stories, the author paints a broader picture of the social changes that marked that period, giving the reader an insight into the complexity of the collectivization process and its impact on the individual and the community.
