"Collection of Prose of the 16th and 17th Centuries" is part of the "Five Centuries of Croatian Literature" edition and represents a selection of prose works by Croatian authors from the 16th and 17th centuries. The book was edited by Jakša Ravlić and published in 1972 by Matica hrvatska and Zora.

This collection includes works by significant Croatian writers of that period, providing insight into the development of Croatian prose during the Renaissance and Baroque. Numerous authors are represented in the collection, some of which are:

Nikša Ranjina: Known for his collection of poems "Ranjinina zbirka", which contains poems by various authors, as well as his own.

Marko Marulić: "Father of Croatian Literature", best known for his epic "Judith".

Hanibal Lucić: Renaissance poet and playwright, author of the play "Robinja".

Petar Hektorović: Author of "Ribanja i ribarskog prigovoranja", a work that combines prose and poetry.
