This book explores medieval towns in the Slavonia region, revealing their history, architecture and significance. The book deals with the ruins of medieval towns (burgs) in Croatia and Slavonia. The author explores about two hundred ruins, as well as several well-preserved and fortified cities. The goal of the book is not only a romantic description of these buildings, but also an understanding of their role in history and cultural development.
