Dovlatov i okolina

Dovlatov i okolina

Aleksandar Genis

Genis wrote a philological novel about his friend, writer and publicist Sergey Dovlatov, about his attitude towards the government, women, the national question, journalism, all of which is surrounded by the main theme - Dovlatov and literature.

Writing about another is only an occasion for Gennis to re-examine his own experience. In this book, written in a light essay genre, with Genis's recognizable wit, and through entertaining stories, we are presented with a whole gallery of characters from the third generation of Russian emigrant writers.

The foreword for the book was written by Vladislav Bajac.
