I Jimmy se približava dugi 1-2

Johannes Mario Simmel

A political and psychological drama set in Vienna between 1938 and 1969. Although inspired by real events from the West German metropolis between 1934 and 1965, the author changed the time and place of the action to protect the identities of real people.

The story begins with a tragic event: Valerie Steinfeld, a woman with a mysterious past, poisons Argentine scientist Raphael Aranda and then commits suicide. Her act sets off an avalanche of events that drag Aranda's son Manuel into a web of international espionage games.

Manuel, determined to uncover the truth about his father's murder, faces dangers from various secret services and political circles. During his search, he meets a young woman, Irene Waldegg, who becomes his ally, but also a person with her own secrets.

Simmel skillfully interweaves personal destinies with great historical events, exploring themes of identity, betrayal, love and moral dilemmas in a time of political turmoil. The novel, rich in characters and tense plots, provides a deep insight into human nature and the complexity of interpersonal relationships in the context of historical turbulence.
