Snovolovka

Stephen King

"Dreamcatcher" is a science fiction horror novel that follows four childhood friends: Jonesy, Beaver, Pete, and Henry. The novel explores themes of friendship, sacrifice, and the struggle against inner and outer demons.

Four friends, as boys, rescued Douglas "Duddits" Cavell, a young man with Down syndrome, from violent bullies. This act of courage forged an unbreakable bond between them and gave them special telepathic abilities.

Twenty-five years later, the friends gather for an annual hunting trip in the woods of Maine. Their peace is disrupted by the arrival of a lost hunter who shows signs of a strange illness and talks about lights in the sky. It is soon discovered that he is infected with an alien parasite that threatens humanity.

To stop the threat from spreading, the friends must confront their own traumas and rely on their telepathic connections. The key to their fight lies in Duddits and the mysterious dreamcatcher he has given them as a gift.
